CHARACTER INTERACTION ASSIGNMENT: Bruno and Phillipe

This was my project I did for my Year 2 2D animation Assignment 2. I am very proud of the characters as well as the animation. I think I might expound on their lore and make a pitch for a kid's show... maybe... (The background does feel a tad bit liminal by itself don't you think?)

This is Bruno

For Bruno's design i took one of my pre-existing characters and rounded out all his sharp corners to make him look soft and he turned out to be very cute. I was contemplating on giving him a tail but i was hesitant to do so.

This is Phillipe

For Phillipe's design, I was inspired by the upcoming student film, The Legend of Pipi. I liked how they drew the head of the main character Pipi, who is a cat, so i placed it onto Phillipe's head and ta da!

This is also Phillipe

I really couldn't stop drawing him

This is the layout

I darkened their colours to be more fitting to the lighting in the scene (in post).

These are the Keyframes.

This was how it was going to play out but i changed the pose at number 5 because my lecturer commented on how it was to closed and the silhouettes of the characters were obscuring each other.

This one was the rough

I changed the movement from the keyframes.

Here is the Final Product

I'm proud of it unfortunately there is no sound. But I'm still proud of it.
